Designed as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) by architect James Guerrero, this Craftsman‑inspired home blends traditional proportions with modern comfort and strong indoor–outdoor connections. Classic gabled rooflines, wide overhangs, and a mix of horizontal lap siding, shingle accents, and a masonry base give the home a grounded, timeless presence, while large window groupings bring abundant natural light into the interior.
The main floor is organized as an open great room with a full bath and laundry, creating an efficient and flexible living space. The kitchen counter extends seamlessly to an outdoor live‑edge wood bar through a 10′‑6″ NanaWall, strengthening the connection between interior and exterior living. A generous covered outdoor area, framed by exposed timber trusses, wood ceilings, and stone‑wrapped columns, provides an inviting space for gathering and entertaining.
An open loft above contains the bedroom and a powder room, maintaining visual openness while clearly defining private and public spaces. Terraced patios and integrated retaining walls extend usable living space into the landscape, reflecting a modern interpretation of Craftsman design that emphasizes craftsmanship, comfort, and connection to place.
