This contemporary catamaran houseboat reimagines residential construction for life on the water, combining marine engineering with high‑performance building systems. Built using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), the floating home achieves exceptional energy efficiency, structural rigidity, and thermal comfort—well suited to year‑round occupation in variable marine climates.

The twin‑hull catamaran platform provides increased stability, generous usable width, and shallow draft capability, while supporting a clean, rectilinear superstructure above. Large expanses of glazing line the main living level, maximizing daylight and views while connecting interior spaces to the surrounding water. Durable exterior materials and simplified detailing reinforce the project’s functional, modern aesthetic.

Outdoor living is emphasized through expansive decks on multiple levels, including a covered upper deck that serves as an extension of the living space and offers panoramic views. Thoughtfully integrated circulation, including exterior stairs between levels, allows for flexible movement throughout the vessel while maintaining clear separation between indoor and outdoor zones.

This SIP‑constructed catamaran houseboat demonstrates how high‑performance residential building techniques can be successfully adapted to floating architecture, resulting in a comfortable, efficient, and durable home designed specifically for waterfront living.
